Materials: 116 (.75 oz package) size 6/0 “E” beads.

Terms:

B – with a small crochet hook or dental floss place a bead on the next stitch then slip the stitch onto the right hand needle without knitting the stitch.

Pattern:

Knit the Galaxy Capelet pattern as written up to the “Lower Section”.

Begin adding beads on the first row of the Lower Section as follows.  Note: The finished length of the capelet is 13”, If you wish to add length to the capelet add extra rows prior to beginning the beading.

Adding Beads:

Row 1: *SSK, K31, B (place bead on stitch 32 and slip stitch to right hand needle), K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts)

Row 2, 4, & 6: *SSK, K37* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts)

Row 3 & 5: *SSK, K32, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts)

Row 7: *SSK, K25, B, K5, B, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts)

Rows 8 -12: repeat rows 2-6 above

Row 13: *SSK, K19, B, (K5, B) 2 times, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts 3 beads added)

Rows 14 – 18: repeat rows 2-6

Row 19: *SSK, K13, B, (K5, B) 3 times, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts 4 beads added)

Row 20 – 24: repeat rows 2-6.

Row 25: *SSK, K7, B, (K5, B) 4 times, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO* repeat *to* 7 more times. (304 sts 5 beads added)

Row 26 – 30: repeat rows 2-6

Row 31 (first row of ruffle): SSK, B, K1, YO, *K1, B, K1, YO* repeat *to* around to beginning of round stitch marker. (101 beads)
